Great ultrabook. Not the lightest, but the strongest!

I'm a computer geek and the E7450 has become my go-to laptop for those who want something small and light but still sturdy. I used E7440 before so I've been using this line for several years. I usually buy mine direct from Dell and also get an accidental damage warranty (Dell's accidental damage warranty really is one of the best accidental damage warranties - way better than square trade or anything). At around 3.5 inches, it's not the lightest ultrabook. Pound. But that's because it still has a metal inner frame. I've seen some ultralight Ultrabooks ripped in half. I buy a lot of these for doctors and dentists - they always say they're easy to work with on computers, but they're not. These have held up very well. I bought 5 E7450 and 15-20 predecessors (E7440). I haven't had any warranty issues with any of them yet. I've had a few accidental injuries (spilling a full glass of wine, etc.). The good news is that they are pretty drop resistant. I haven't had a single broken screen or case damage that would affect the operation of the laptop. This is a powerful laptop. It also works with Dell E-series docking stations. You can connect it to at least two monitors through the docking station. The i7 is not as fast as the desktop i7 (actually, the "U" series of Ultrabooks is slower than the non-U series. But for general medical office software, Microsoft Office, email, the Internet, this is more than enough power! Here I use the i7 mostly. It gets a little hotter and a little less battery life, but has a little more power. The i5 version is also quite good and maybe better heat balance, but I wouldn't buy the i3 version.I like this one Laptops really and I would definitely recommend them This is an Ultrabook that will last! (They come with a 3 year warranty as standard if Dell sends you a technician for warranty issues - so I'm assuming one comes up here Revain comes with the same guarantee).
