I ordered two identical stools. They came from two different places, one was made in Taiwan in 2011 and the other in China in 2012. They both had the same model number, but the seat backs were different heights, the seats were different thicknesses, the base was all chrome and smaller in Chinese and gray with a chrome ring in Taiwanese. They didn't match at all. The first representative of the company initially said that I would have to pay for the return of an unsuitable stool. I disagreed and he changed his mind. The seat on the Chinese stool didn't fit the base so another call and a much nicer person helped me, but the replacement also had a paint defect on the back so another backrest had to be sent. I finally have two completely identical stools. I'll have to keep an eye on my billing for a while, but if things are going as I've been told with the loans, I'd say the customer service was great on the second rep (poor on the first). The quality of the Chinese chairs is questionable when it takes that many to get two good ones, but I'm happy with the two finished chairs.
