Not the New Balance shoes I'm used to

I've been wearing New Balance 928's for over 20 years. I have always bought direct from New Balance or one of their stores. These shoes fit terribly. Almost like seconds. One shoe fits well and I take off the other. But since I wore them, they are non-refundable. Lesson learned.
