We bought these for our snorkeling in Hawaii. They are suitable for snorkeling for beginners like me. I've put together a short list of pros and cons. PRO: - The fins are shorter than regular fins I've found before (which makes them easier to carry and pack in carry-on luggage) - Comes with a net to pack everything up (particularly handy when dismounting from snorkeling and back so you pack it in your backpack with the plastic side and it doesn't get your backpack wet) - the fins are adjustable (a size 8.5 for a woman and a size 10.5 for a man are good for the same fin size). - The snorkel valve works well. CONS: - fins are sometimes too short if you want to paddle "fast" to follow fish or if you want to go deeper - mask makes fog - mask - snorkel shape/size really hurts upper mouth after hours of snorkeling (tolerable, but it would be nice not to get sick at all). slightly overpriced. Mask fogging is one of the main points I can talk about.
