If you like the little solar powered garden lights you can find at any hardware store, you'll love these. They provide enough light to potentially act as edge markers for your walk. But they don't cover the trail at all. Think of them as runway markers that show the pilot where the runway is, but aren't bright enough to illuminate the runway or prevent the pilot from seeing at night. They are useless if you want to emphasize something. I installed them in fixtures illuminating some garden steps where you really want to see steps. These didn't. You just tell your guests the direction to go. Not enough light to show they're about to fall down the stairs. Disappointed enough that I ordered some old 12 volt T5 bulbs (both 7w and 18w). Philips 7W bulbs put out a little more light than these LEDs and have a much nicer warm color (I've been using them for 15 years now). Philips 18 watt light bulbs will blow out those little LEDs. All the LED bulbs I bought are now thrown in the trash. What a waste.
