I do woodworking with small parts and often stand at my workbench. I was looking for the perfect stool so I could sit and work, one that was solid, adjustable and without wheels, and I think I found it. My preference would have been to order the same stool with a cover/cushion rather than just the bare wood, but it was out of stock. I can always upholster this one if I decide to go that route, so I'm happy with what I do have. I like that it locks in place once you find the right height, and it stays locked. It's a very simple mechanism and there is no losing height in the future, unlike the pneumatic adjustable stools/chairs. The price was right and it shipped quickly. Very happy with this purchase.
