Expensive, storage instructions would be nice.

So I've always hesitated to buy a non-rinse washing sponge, as it's very expensive. I did it and everything was fine. The sponge itself seems to work as advertised but I still can't get over the price. I understand that R&D (to an extent) goes into this thing, but it could easily cost $10 and still be profitable for the company. Another problem I encountered was the lack of instructions. It's more of a personal question, but I'm disappointed with it. I kept the sponge in a bag of OHP as everyone says they do with BRS. I haven't used it in the warmer months, but the opportunity arose recently. I pulled it out and it's covered in mold. I never store moldy foam, it is a health hazard. I'm upset because everyone says these things last forever. I pretty much got rid of the winter season due to storage issues. It would be nice if there were recommendations for storage/use. I currently use a standard wash mitt with my ONR. It works. Next time I feel like spending money I'll try to make the original Big Red Sponge.

Pros
  • Sponges and Mittens
Cons
  • Okay for the most part, but...
