I expect a lot from my running shoes. I mostly wear one at a time, going from the gym to everyday activities to regular wear at home. I've never had cougars so I bought these about a month ago to try. My first impression is that these shoes are incredibly comfortable. They feel like a sock and the sole is perfect. BUT, if you plan to use them for "cross-training" as the name suggests, BEWARE. I do a lot of training and flexibility exercises and have found that the part that locks your heel isn't tight enough. I constantly have the feeling that my foot is about to slip off or at least stand up. No matter how tight I tie, the problem remains. If you're looking for a comfortable walking shoe, this might be a good shoe, but if you're doing something dynamic at the gym, look for something more secure.
