So. There were no instructions with this item, at first glance it didn't seem to work, apparently I lack common sense in the assembly department. Look at the assembly picture. It's not very strong, it tilts my dual lamp back and forth even with the hook centered. I moved the cables to try to balance it and it didn't help. I don't like that I might have to buy separate bulbs and switch between day and night. I have a feeling that the lamps on the edge of the tank were better. It's overpriced for something that might not last long or might not do its job properly.
