I was happy to see a label printer that could be used with my iPhone. Now I have a Brother label printer and the screen is small and hard to see. You can only see a few letters at a time. With the phone app I can see the entire label. Installing the app is pretty smooth. I installed the app, turned on the printer and searched for it in the app. Whenever I need to print a label, I turn on the printer, then open the app and connect to it. So far this has always worked. The application is quite intuitive. It also shows you the remaining battery life, which is nice since it's rechargeable! No more worrying about battery failure while printing. My current label printer uses 8 AAA batteries, which is very inconvenient. I really like that it uses standard size labels that are easily accessible. I can use any ribbon I have with the Brother PTouch label printer. I also like that you can use different band sizes. As another reviewer said, this label maker wastes a lot of ribbon and that's my biggest complaint. As you can see in the images above, there is a significant amount of ribbon wasted at the beginning and end of the labels. There is no way to customize it. In fact, if you look at the application's help for printer problems, it says it cannot be configured. I really hope they release an update that allows you to change it to a narrower field. For this reason I am deducting a star. Just select graphics or frames. Keep in mind that if you select a frame, your text will shrink. Check out the second image above where I printed the same label using the same font with and without a border. So far I really like this label printer. I just hope they release an update that lets you customize the margins.
