At the time of purchase, this set of two switches was cheaper than a set of similar products from other manufacturers. Note that this switch can transfer data - other cheaper switches can only transfer power - buyers beware, you get what you want for the right purpose. As a "built-in" switch, it functions exactly as expected. I use this for my webcam and have never had connection issues, lag or any other video/audio issues, while the 'off' position completely disables the camera which provides more security and a guaranteed disconnect from the camera. The only minor downside was that it wasn't immediately apparent which way the switch was being pushed or which side was on/off. It may depend on your environment and how well lit it is, but to me the black switch on the black case didn't immediately make it clear what position the switch was in. A simple tweak fixed the issue, but it would be nice if it worked out of the box.
