On the normal potentiometer, the two pins that connect to the end of the track or typically on the outside edges, and the pin that is connected to the wiper of the potentiometer is in the middle. On this potentiometer, the pin that is connected to the wiper is on the end farthest from the knob. There is a small diagram I did not see at first on the side of the potentiometer and I wired it up wrong making me think it was defective. And upon closer inspection and testing I was able to find the diagram and wire it correctly. These are great if you need fine control.
