It is a pity that overclocking with a locked multiplier is almost impossible, although I judge by the previous i5-6500, I have not tried this one and do not plan to overclock. A stone in Intel's garden is that they made an artificial incompatibility of new processors with old ones. boards on the Z170, although they are structurally suitable. The difference in performance with the i5-6500 is from 30% to 50%, but 6 cores and 12 threads allow you to use it for home virtualization, you can do all sorts of experiments and labs with virtual machines without any servers.
