I had to trim the fan shroud a bit to fit, but it's fairly easy to trim with metal snips. After trimming I had to install it which can be a little painful. I removed the hood latch/crossbar and it helped a lot. I tried removing the battery case but gave up the idea as it's not as easy as advertised, at least on my 2006 RAM. I also disconnected the upper coolant hose (I had a cold engine). No coolant leak. I also disconnected the battery and set the fuse box aside. The only tools needed are 10mm and 13mm sockets, a ratchet, metal snips and a few other common tools. it works amazing! The fan is very quiet and very well made. Plus it was packaged nicely! I got a quote from a local shop and by doing the job myself I saved about $220 (they said $269). I'm not a mechanic so watching videos online helped a lot. I would say I spent about an hour and 45 minutes from start to finish including cleaning the engine and engine compartment, taking photos and filming videos. By the way, I work alone. An assistant would save me a lot of time. I can't say anything about the durability of the fan as I just installed it. But again, it seems very well made and of excellent quality. I'm surprised it's so cheap! I hope you find this review, photos and videos helpful. Thank you for reading!
