Requires expensive cloud service

Inuvio scanner comes without software. It turns out that in order to use the scanner to import into other programs, you need to subscribe to the cloud service at $35/month. Also, you need to send them sensitive information (driver's license, credit cards, etc.). I've spent several hours of my expensive IT time looking for all of this.
