Not for me; Not bad

First of all I would like to say that I work for one of the top 3 cellphone companies in the US. However, my company does not sell this phone or service. And I have no incentive to give positive or negative feedback. My opinion is my own and has nothing to do with my daily work. I say this because I want to be clear and also want to say that I have a lot of experience with mobile devices and services - almost two decades. take it how you want But I wouldn't - and wouldn't - give to an older family member (88). Here's why: the phone itself isn't bad. It's a basic Android device with a large 5.5-inch screen that's bright and easy to read. The GreatCall/Home GUI is an extra layer on Android that makes each menu very easy to read. Android already has a basic home interface option. This makes the icons bigger and simplifies the menu. GreatCall is slightly better, but doesn't bother me. My grandmother who is 88 uses an Android 5.5 phone with simplified menu and screen options. She can see the screen just fine and not much worse (mostly with one eye due to an injury). Is it easier? A little. But the benefits of being in a closed UI system are great. For example, we haven't found an easy way to use the phone the way it works: pictures, social media and sharing. I couldn't find an option to attach photos to share when I tried. However, the update hasn't been fixed yet so I wouldn't flag it, but things are limited and harder to get to. It's a whole new experience that she liked as she learned more has been Android for about 6 years so the phone is pretty good. The UI needs a bit of work, but it's also pretty easy to use Enjoy GreatCall Safety/Health Benefits from $20 *GREATCALL SERVICE ONLY* up to $35. In the month. * NO CALLS, TEXTS OR DATA. * Adding these things will give you a lot more than just adding a line to any of the big three plans. If you want unlimited it costs $40 on top of the GreatCall service. So 60-75 dollars per line. All three leading operators can add a line to your account for $20-$40 and share your unlimited credit. If you don't add the GreatCall service, you can still get unlimited calls and texts for $50, but not unlimited data (100MB, which is absolutely nothing). , but not a GreatCallGreatCall service with unlimited features: $60-$75, it's a phone service that works well. I love the idea that my grandma could have wellness and emergency buttons. But if it's an emergency I think 911 works well and I'm their tech support so I don't believe in the value proposition of the GreatCall service. I don't mind, but I don't see the point in an extra $20-35 per month. This is just my opinion. And judging by the reviews here and on other sites, many people find this service useful. So I'm not saying this is a negative service or review. Just sharing why I left my grandma on her existing $20/month unlimited plan for anything with a 5.5 inch Android phone and me as her tech support and 911 for emergencies. This is just my opinion. I hope that was helpful.
