The first thing you need to know is, THE PICTURES SHOW YOU HOW YOU SIT WRONG! I have included my own photos in this review so you can see the difference (I suspect this is because whoever took the photos for this listing did not use this stool or figure it out themselves). UNDER THEM ON THE BASE DO NOT PLACE THEM ON THE GROUND! AND POSITION YOUR ASS OFF THE EDGE OF THE STOOL, NOT IN THE CENTER. Once you do this you will find that SEVEN things will happen: 1) The seat has grooves to accommodate your legs in this position so it is designed for this position, 2) YOUR SPINE WILL CURVE RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT NATURALLY INTO IT . 3) This is the MOST STABLE position for this chair as the bar is STRAIGHT UP. 5) This is the WEIGHT LOSS position for your spine and legs because your legs don't pinch and your spine doesn't round, and 6) your spine will naturally bend as you stretch around on your desk, and it is GORGEOUSLY COMFORTABLE ON YOUR SPINE because it allows for gentle, natural flexing in multiple directions, and 7) YOUR BODY WILL BE STRENGTHENED because you're forced to use your stomach and not your back to keep your MUSCLES straight. If you sit in the position you see in the product photos your spine will round forward and you will get tired and have a hard time on your back (as in the first image I've attached you can clearly see the hump effect) . In the second photo you can see how naturally the children's backs are straight and their shoulders are relaxed and not bent. gotta sit on it! Their backs looked a lot straighter when properly seated on this stool than they did on their office chairs, and what a great advertisement for a chiropractor! They seemed extremely professional in that regard. I found one used for $70 and sold it immediately. Now buying a second one so I have one at home and one in the office.
