
I think it depends on what you are using it for. I used it to connect my Wii to an HDTV via HDMI. Apparently the Wii doesn't recognize the updated resolution, so the output over the composite video cables is still 480i. In general everything looks fine. I would rate it about the same as a composite video. Colors are washed out a bit when the converter is set to 720p and washed out a bit at 1080p due to motion blur. One day I'll take out the Super Nintendo and see what it looks like. The washout could be faulty hardware, so replace the converter.
