Modem works great in Comcast. I told them it was an SB8200 and they had no problem activating it with the MAC address below. I'm using a Comcast "Bang!" 300Mbps internet service and an ASUS RT-AC66U router with custom DD-WRT firmware. I get over 300MB of downloads and just over 10MB of downloads on wired hardware, and that's what I'm paying for. Comcast has additional speed packages in my area (up to 1Gbps) but they are more expensive and I don't need those speeds right now, but I'm sure this modem can support them if I decide to upgrade. CM8200 instead of SB8200 because I wanted a black device. The rest of my gear is black so I wanted something to match lol. The modem doesn't come in retail packaging, but it just ended up in the trash anyway. Note that the second Ethernet port on the modem is not working. From my research, this port only works when the device is in LAG (Link Aggregation) mode - for example, if you have a router with two WAN ports. A few people have mentioned that they can activate it with their ISP, but that seems to be very rare.
