The signal does not go through multiple walls and the tone is frustrating for the dog and a wedge may be required.
Works but the high pitched beep is very annoying to my dog even at the lowest volume. Mute would be an improvement. Installation was easy with two people, but the cheap tiny screws on the block in the mailbox didn't hold. Another thing is that the block needs to be open about 90 degrees to give a signal. My media often doesn't open that wide so I put a wedge underneath it at a 45 degree angle and that fixed the problem. If the device is open at 90 degrees, the stuck device is at about 135 degrees.
