Purchased to fit between ISP modem and managed intranet switches/devices. Conveniently plug and play. Purchased 1M BeyondTech SC/UPC Fiber Optic Patch Cord to SC/UPC A/B. A/B is connected where A is in RX on both devices and B is in TX on both devices. Connect power, connect an RJ-45 to the ISP modem and an RJ-45 to the internal managed switch. No change in ISP speed. 16ms PING from San Antonio to Ft. Worth it, 230 MB/s download (200 MB/s with purchase) and 12 MB/s upload (10 MB/s with purchase). No bandwidth penalty and true plug-n-play simplicity. I did this as a test for my personal account, now I will do the same for home. They are also considering running a fiber optic cable between the main switch in the house and the outlying rooms, which works but a wired connection would be much better.
