The keyboard cover feels nice and looks great when it’s new and just out of the package. Do not expect the keyboard backlight to function however, since the cover is not see through at all and the light just gets muted or blocked. It’s a little less easy to put on and align than other TPU covers, since the silicone wants to stick to the keys and not slide around as easy. Speaking of silicone, if you use this cover too hard, some marks might appear on the key underneath, which defeats the purpose of this product, but most are wipeable. Wear and tear on the product, like warping and the letters rubbing off will come quick if used roughly. One thing I noticed is that there seems to be a lot of quality control issues with this product. Some covers I received from the same company has keys that seem miss-printed or miss-aligned. This one has an annoying problem where the screen won’t close unless I force pressure on it, which is bad because the cover ends up making too much contact with the screen and can damage it. On some MacBooks, the screen coating can rub off if you touch it too much (Staingate), and this cover definitely does not help in preventing that. When fully closed, the MacBook can easily pop open again since the cover is forcing the screen up. If you have the time to start returns and reorder, buy this. The silicone feels nicest compared to other TPU covers and typing on it feels great, although make sure you have a screen protector due to the risk of damage. If you don’t want to play the quality control lottery, avoid this product.
