Review on SIQUK Fittings Straight Pneumatic Connector: Empowering Additive Manufacturing Processes by Greg Anderson

Blue does not mean better quality.

Firstly, the fact that it's blue doesn't mean it's of better quality. Save yourself the hassle and buy genuine Capricorn PTFE if that's what you're looking for. These things are a far cry from the quality you get by spending a few bucks more to get the real deal. In fact, the tube I received was of poorer quality than the standard white tube that could be found at a lower price. The Teflon sections I received were just out of reach. After three failed prints in a row due to clogging, I inspected and found that the inner hole of the PTFE tube was off-center, causing the clogging I was experiencing. Since I was going to throw the tube in the bin anyway, I went ahead and cut open the remaining tube to check and found that they were all deformed that way. Replacing this tube with a REAL Capricorn tube solved the problems. The fittings provided are the typical disposable fittings you would expect from a cheap source at this price point. Don't expect to have to simply press the collar to release the hose once inserted. Yes, they hold up like most cheap fittings. However, a good fit should also loosen when the collar is pushed down.
