Well packed. The use and care instructions are clear and include customer service contact information and warranty information. Heats up quickly. Three temperature settings. The high setting is hot. Can be used as a dry iron, steam boost (quick steam bursts) or steam boost and continuous steam. (Dry ironing = no steam boost and continuous steam). A couple of things: - Didn't heat initially. Turned it off and turned it off - SECURITY UP! - Voltage switched from 120V to 240V and then back to 120V. Plugged in, switched on, it heats up immediately. (Not sure, but maybe the voltage switch wasn't set for 120V at first.) - After it was set to the max it took about 30 minutes to cool down. You must take this into account, especially for travel. (I don't know, but maybe there are heat resistant bags/materials that you could SECURELY pack the iron in. There should be bags/materials with a hole etc. so the cord doesn't touch the iron to protect the cord from damage protection.)
