Review on TDK 80 Minute Spindle Discontinued Manufacturer by Jeremy Black

I recently bought a box of 100 of these 80 minute TDK CD-Rs. I burned about 20 discs (at slow 4x speed) only to find that my time, effort and money had been wasted. Almost every CD had serious playback errors. At first I thought it might be a CD player, but after trying the discs in other players I quickly realized it wasn't a CD player. Then I thought maybe something was wrong with the burner. No, because I then burned the music onto several Verbatim CD-Rs with no playback problems. Actually, the problem was with the CD-R. I couldn't believe it because I always thought TDK was a reliable brand, but in this case I received a very bad batch of CD-Rs. Another note: Any errors during playback seem to appear towards the end of the discs. (after the 40th minute). I also found it strange. Seems something is wrong with the dye on the outside of the discs? Whatever the problem, I will never buy a CD-R from this brand again.
