I try to use Love Wix filters at all times. Used on my 2002 Honda 400ex, fits perfectly and comes with cover print. If the piston was badly damaged, I would flush the engine with 15 gallons of oil, install a Wix filter, run the crankshaft for 15 minutes, shut off the oil, and change the filter. Took the filter apart and was amazed at the amount of particles it filters out even after rinsing.
