After my initial review of the black toner I contacted the seller directly for a replacement cartridge to ensure the cartridge originally received was defective (and not representative of their traditional products ). I received a new cartridge and have used it for several days with good results. So far there have been no smudges on the printouts - they have been very clear. I hope this trend continues as I am very happy with the performance of the current cartridge (which changed my original rating). I also appreciate the seller's help in resolving this issue for me. I bought a pack of two black ink cartridges. I took one out and put it in my HP 8210. The cartridge fitted and the printer started printing pages. However, the ink smeared across the page, so I couldn't get a clean black ink printout. As you can see from the picture, the other three colors (which were not replaced) are printed normally; only the black ink is smeared and unreadable. So the problem is the poor quality cartridge I received. I will have to return the cartridges as they are unusable for printing.
