Well, I was getting a little tired of cleaning my kitchen floor by leaning over and using a wet paper towel to wipe up the most obvious dirt. (I'm not that great at housecleaning!) So I decided to buy a Swiffer or an OCedar, both of which I'd had before and which worked okay, if not great. However, a bunch of these "spin mops" came up in my search results, so I decided to look at them more closely.Originally, I was going to buy another brand, but decided on this one for two reasons: 1) it was cheaper, and 2) it had hundreds of reviews, mostly positive. I tend to look for huge numbers of "Verified Purchase" reviews, preferably with lots of photos and videos. This had two-thirds of those (I didn't see any videos, but then again, I didn't really look that hard!)Anyway, long review short, I just finished mopping my floor with it for the first time and was pretty impressed! First of all, it was relatively easy to put together, although I wasn't sure about a couple of things. The instructions are pretty basic but with a little trial and error, you'll figure it out. Just be patient.Originally, I was only going to mop one segment of my floor, to test it out. But once I got going, I was so thrilled to see all that grime coming up, I just kept going. It was great! I actually mopped the whole kitchen, the hallway, AND the hardwood floor in the office, only going back to wet the mop once. It looks really nice now (well, niceR. Let's be honest, my floors are pretty old so there's a limit to how nice the floors can actually look without actually being replaced)!Be aware that the rubber guard thingy that you put around the metal mop head might slip partway off. The first time, I didn't realize that's what was happening, and only noticed that the mop didn't seem to be "seated" right in the spinning part of the bucket. When I took it out, I noticed the guard had slipped partly off. I put it back on and it was fine. That happened again later, and now that I knew what was happening, it was an easy fix. There's probably some trick to keeping it on that I haven't figured out yet.Anyway, no "dealbreakers" -- overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase, and with all the extra reusable mop heads! Although the first one looked SO filthy after use, I decided just to throw it out. Maybe if I mop more often, that won't be an issue. Maybe. ;-)
