Review on Dorman HELP Bypass Pulley 34184 by Antonio Lofton

Two stars. This is a good idea and would work if additional mounting hardware was included. I decided to use this on 97 Explorer. The bypass pulley has the correct hole pattern and fits. However, there is a problem with the supplied hardware. There are several sockets for the screw holes. Second, the screws. The screws supplied with the Explorer 97 were too long; about half an inch or so too long. I tried to fix it by adding washers to tighten the bolts but the pulley still vibrated and made the belt squeak. The supplied sleeves were ok in size. This would be a great product but for the 97 Exploder Sport "x" vin V6 it didn't fit properly with the hardware supplied. If the wearer added another set of short bolts and lock washers it would work. Excessive vibration and belt squeal was only allowed for due to the bolts being too long and not properly tightened.
