They make excellent snares

Many people may think they won't because of the flexibility, but I hand sharpen my own convex blade knives and they tighten well. You can either take a knife and level the bevel, give it a nice smooth look, hide most of the roughness by hand sharpening and basically make a great base for a mirror polish, or leave it as it is for the kitchen or kitchen is. Bushcraft knives that like their blade to bite a little harder. I'll buy more and find a waterproof way to mount them on the base so I can properly utilize all of their surface area. It's silicon carbide, so they cut almost all types of steel, although it's best to keep them wet when using them, and they polish things to the perfect degree for their grit class. I couldn't be happier and the price makes these things amazing. I have sharpened 7 knives at least twice and I have a small stain on the blade. Note: If you bend these things, move them around, or generally use them as sandpaper, they will clog. I blame the opening of the spongy material under a rounding of the opening spaces between the Trizact particles, but that's just a guess. If you plan to use them as slings, ALWAYS use them in a horizontal position and flush. Otherwise, they're great for raised edges and are easy to sand flat. I changed my Cold Steel Barong machete from 300 grit to paper sharpening on just these two parts. They hugged the raised bevel like it was sexy and polished it well in one of the most stunning and time-saving applications I've found. for her yet. I recommend for any use you have these things they are really amazing
