Great strap for sharpening knives

I glued a spacer onto a small piece of pine and use it as a strap to keep my knives razor sharp. Works like clockwork. I haven't changed the gasket yet so I don't know how long it will last. I've been using it for more than a month, the effect hasn't lost. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove darker metallic deposits. I use it like a flat leather strap, but it's important to use very light taps and not enough pressure to compress the foam base. It definitely polishes the edges. DO NOT…

Brilliant! I also use it to polish knives.

Cool! I use it for both knife polishing and blade sharpening. Wow I can't tell you how well it works for this purpose. It removes some metal, but much less than a stone but more than a leather belt. It's built on a foam base that appears to "hugg" the edges. For knife sharpening, this means it's much more forgiving with the angle you use. Even if my angle deviates slightly, the foam automatically compensates for this due to the deformation. In terms of durability, even after 5 knives of…

Essential for that wandering cart that will scratch your paintwork!

This is a popular tool among car enthusiasts. This is a great tool for removing paint scratches from your car! After about 5000 you can make almost any scratch on the clear coat look like OEM paint again. Living in Miami is a must, people are too eager to hit your drive with a car door or a shopping cart. This product allows you to sand away the clear coat without stripping too much or making things worse. This is enough to remove or hide the damage without creating new scratches that cannot be

Fills the gap between scratch removal and polishing

I use automotive urethane paint which is a very hard surface that needs to be leveled and then polished. and suspension rate. This P3000 foam pad works well after 1500 grit but before 2000 and so my 2000 paper is out of date. After trying many alternative approaches, this method proved to be the quickest way to go from scratch removal to polishing. Other Benefits. Strength. One pad was enough for the entire automotive project. Precise granularity, while I've found 3M paper to have random grain…

Works great for power tool parts and accessories

I used this 3000 grit tool along with 5000 grit to remove some scratches from my 2017 Malibu and 2014 Silverado. As you can see from the photos I was able to completely remove the scratches caused by the CB antenna's magnetic base and restored the clear coat. This was accomplished by spraying soapy water (aka: wet sand) onto the area prior to sanding. After removing these scratches from the trunk of my car, I moved to my Silverado which had brush scratches all over it. I was able to sand and…

They make excellent snares

Many people may think they won't because of the flexibility, but I hand sharpen my own convex blade knives and they tighten well. You can either take a knife and level the bevel, give it a nice smooth look, hide most of the roughness by hand sharpening and basically make a great base for a mirror polish, or leave it as it is for the kitchen or kitchen is. Bushcraft knives that like their blade to bite a little harder. I'll buy more and find a waterproof way to mount them on the base so I can…
