I don't watch a lot of network TV - I mostly watch movies) and very little in the summer. I was looking for a way to reduce my TV bills and not pay for months when I wasn't watching much. When I got my satellite bill and the tariffs went up, I started thinking about streaming. I chose Roku 3 based on internet research and reviews and was not disappointed. There are many free channels, but I also subscribe to Revain Prime and Netflix. In addition to a lot of free shows on Revain, I get free shipping on my purchases, so it's a win-win for me. Netflix offers many movies and TV shows for a monthly fee. Both are available in HD. My satellite bill was $74 a month and now I pay about $16 a month and always find something interesting to watch. If you are addicted to network TV and love certain weekly shows, this is NOT for you. You can still watch some of your shows, but they're either previous seasons or you'll have to pay for new ones. It connects to your internet very easily. I'm running at 10Mbps and have no reception issues and I'm not bothered by a lot of unnecessary buffering. I had no problems with the system.
