**Edited update I contacted Oral-B via email and received a response within minutes with tips on removing the impression from the tray, freezer! Why did not I think of this. They send me a replacement tray for free to try again! Let's see if I'm lucky next time. I purchased this dental tray following all instructions after waiting 30-60 minutes for the mouthguard to set after it had stuck to my mouth. The protective case was completely stuck in the shell and I could not remove it despite numerous attempts to carefully remove it from the green shell as instructed. I've tried warming up and restarting and then waiting again. The protection could not be removed from the shell. The tray then cracked and the plastic protection ripped open and was no longer usable. Needless to say, this didn't work for me and I don't have a working dental plate. I contacted the manufacturer and awaited instructions and the possibility of a replacement.
