I've had this printer for many years because I don't print often and didn't want to buy a new one. But over those years it's used more ink than any other combination printer I've owned. There were also frequent jams, jam errors when there weren't actually any jams, and a slow scanner that creaked and squeaked like a robotic child in the middle of a tantrum. Print and scan quality was mediocre at best. I never managed to get the lid button scanning function to work, and since scanning sucked anyway, I ended up having to buy an extra scanner. I then gave this printer to someone more desperate than I was when I moved in and have since bought a new Canon printer which is as basic as can be but works great. As cheap as this printer is, it will actually cost you more in the long run. . Avoid.
