In the last 3 months my sound card has failed on my computer. I have tried every opinion and setting from online research. Nothing will solve the problem of loud hum feedback. I received this USB audio adapter and it worked great. Just plug in any USB port, then plug in the 3.5mm jack on your speakers. The sound is excellent, sounds better than the original sound card built into the computer. But I don't think the onboard sound card is hard to beat. Great product did exactly what I needed to solve my problem.
