My 7 year old son had pierced ears and was obsessed with playing with his earrings so he kept losing the back end and even the earring itself over time (use with twisted eye ). I got tired of buying many pairs of interchangeable earrings as 9 times out of 10 the backs were lost. That's great. Lots of backups for just a few dollars. And I swear they hold up better than the regular backflip that comes with spikes because he only lost a few of them. Not as much as it used to be. No complaints about being uncomfortable or anything like that. We are happy with them.
