Review on Derwent Colored Drawing Pencils - 24 Count Metal Tin Set: Premium Quality and Vibrant Shades (0700672) by Sabrina Hardy

I've only used Derwent ink sticks, blocks and watercolor pencils so I bought them when I found these lovely pencils in grey, neutral and and shades of brown saw. I bought these pens for a series of drawings of small native wildlife including squirrels, doves and raccoons. I think they will do great. The colors are mainly gray and brown tones, in subtle and beautiful soft tones. The color names "blue" and "green" are actually designations for different shades of gray. The light tones look very opaque and the pencils look very oily. I'm really looking forward to using them, although I suspect I'll be working hard on sharpening. With some added light/deep colors, these pens are great for northern landscapes or seascapes. Great product Derwent!
