Review on Watts 1/2-Inch 2T-M2 Brass & Tubular Washing Machine Hot Water Shut-Off Valve - Improved SEO by Young Rich

I used this as a direct replacement for an Oatey check valve that was over 20 years old. As another reviewer noted (e.g. Frank Perkins - thanks Frank!), you also need to buy size #12 13/16 OD x 5/8 ID x 3/32 o-rings. The o-rings supplied with Watts are too small to provide a good seal. My valve is recessed into the wall, so it wasn't possible to insert a large screwdriver into the top screws. Don't worry, just use a socket wrench with a wide pan head screw. The extra length of the socket wrench made it easier to remove the original bolts. I used the new bolts that came with Watts along with the o-rings attached to them. The entire installation took less than ten minutes, including a leak test after everything was connected. Although all check valves of this type look the same and are interchangeable, I chose Watts because the overall design just looked better.
