This crimping tool feels good and seems to get the job done. BUT, no matter how I inserted the 14g wire, rotated the terminal, or adjusted the force, this crimping tool just doesn't produce a crimp that feels secure and can be tested with even moderate force. It is very easy to pull the 14g wire back out of the connector. By simplicity I mean that if you had to run a wire through conduit, it would most likely pop out of the connector. I adjusted the small cog on the side to increase the power and used terminals from different brands, NADA. I even tried using the 22g slot for the 14g connectors to see if that gave a better crimp. I use it for wiring in a drop camper. This wiring won't be easily accessible when it's done and I can't risk it falling apart. I would probably get better results just using a hammer and punch to close things. I'll probably end up with a soldering iron. I will try to return.
