I'm going to college in a few weeks and thought it would be great to have a lighter and faster laptop than the one I had before. When I looked at the Surface laptop line, I saw that the prices were competitive between all Surface laptop lines. I was originally going to get the Surface 2, but with its $999 price tag, I figured I could get the same bang for my buck if I opted for the older model and it "upgraded". Luckily everything works for me. I checked the computer specifications and avoided problems with the wrong computer. The computer basically looked brand new. There was no cosmetic damage to the screen/buttons/case/cables. On the other hand, there are things I will learn later. Battery life seems decent (5-6 hours of video streaming. 6-7 videos with a light background) but many say it starts to wane after a month or so. Overall shipping was fast and I really hope this laptop fits. I'll keep you posted if there are any serious issues.
