The Lamp does a great job of illuminating a big area, it and running on a battery means more options of placing (you don't need to be near an outlet). The joints are fine and can be adjusted as needed and seem sturdy enough.I timed a a fully charged battery to last about 3.5 hours, which isn't bad at all (I was tiling a ceiling in my basement, and needed a bright light angled upward).My only qualm is the power switch. It is on the underside of the battery, meaning you have to fumble around a bit in order to turn it on and off and usually even have to lift up the thing in order to reach it (especially if it is pointing upwards, like when shining on a ceiling). To make matters worse, the switch is covered by a plastic tab. At first I thought it was a cover to protect it or something, but it's not. All it does is make you apply more effort than needed to turn on the light. Sometimes, I press the switch but nothing happens, and it turns out I didn't press the switch all the way.I really like the light and the stand, but the power button seems horribly designed.
