I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a nice looking fan that appears to be of fairly good quality and runs well and smoothly. Although the branding on the fan is different, it appears to be from the same manufacturer as the last 12v plug-in fan I had in my car. This fan has served me well for two years of daily use with no mechanical problems. The only potential problem I see with this fan is that the baseplate that holds the adjustment arm in the bracket looks exactly the same size and is made of exactly the same thin (about 5-10mm thick) brittle metal that is used in the was using the last fan I had so I had to buy this new fan in the first place. Note: I used fasteners to install both fans in my car, not the spring clip they also give you. I know that cheap Chinese accessories of this kind don't always last very long and I thought one should be careful with that. When I realized what was happening a few weeks later, the bottom panel in the center had come loose enough that its top 2/3 kept falling out of the bracket and folding over, causing the entire fan to sag. down and should be changed two to three times a day. I've tried many repairs, including crimping the edges of the mounting bracket, but the board was so flimsy and pliable that nothing worked all of the time. In the end the record broke off completely. It's disappointing that they used the exact same baseplate as my old fan, even though this fan is bigger and heavier. (!) I have held two baseplates side by side for comparison and they are definitely identical except that the location of the two large screw holes in the baseplate for attaching the baseplate + bracket to the vehicle interior are reversed. in a new compartment. I'm sure other customers have had the same issue with mounting parts from this manufacturer as I have, so it's a shame they didn't seem to have done anything about it in the two years since my old fan was made. I'm not a Chinese industrialist myself, but I kinda doubt it would be too expensive to add another 10mm of thickness to the baseplate. Now that I know what to look out for this time, I'll keep a close eye on it. The fan is a bit noisy, but no more so than the previous one, which was only 8 inches and pushed a lot less air than this one. Overall I am very satisfied at the moment. I will update this review if I have similar issues with it.
