High quality KVM priced at

Updated review: Initially I had trouble using this KVM with an unpowered USB hub. USB devices are not visible after passing through both hubs. For the price it's acceptable (since I don't expect chain hubs from items in this price range). Advantages: - Fast switching. The total switching time of the inputs is approx. 1 second of the wall clock. - Supports a modern keyboard and mouse (for example I can control the backlight in my Steelseries mouse) - Supports a mouse + keyboard in one cable (for example my mouse is connected to my keyboard) - Offers a 2-port USB 2.0 universal -Switching hub (a (also keyboard and mouse ports) - keeps connected screens "active" when switching at the correct resolution in relation to computers (especially important on my Mac laptop, which is very annoying, the size of performance tools to change when plugging and unplugging monitors) Cons: - Connecting audio or video to the keyboard and mouse ports doesn't work and the only symptom is a device connection error This required a minor change to the cables in my setup as my keyboard also a USB hub (I seem to really like cable management :)). - You *must* have your keyboard and mouse plugged into the correct ports for the broadcast to work properly. - For some reason: the mouse changed settings (tracking speed, etc.) as it passed this hub, but this was quickly corrected in the software. - No mounting hardware or mounting holes included - Cables get in the way on both sides of the device, making cable management a bit more difficult than if they were on one side. I have upgraded my original 2 star rating to 5 stars. This is an incredibly high quality KVM for the price and you won't find anything better for a basic gaming KVM. Fixing it under my desk with some glue works great as a mount (it will likely come loose over time but is easy to fix). I would say this is a *must buy* in quarantine if like me you play on PC and work on laptop. So moving from work to play at the end of the day becomes a fast, wireless process.

Pros
  • 1 keyboard and mouse control set 2 PCs share 1 monitor
Cons
  • Not bad but...
