I can't tell you how many times I jumped out of my skin when this thing fell out of my window. My cats weigh between 8 and 15 pounds which means they can hold a lot more. He doesn't even hold up. I have no problem with the other version and it seems to be "less durable". Unfortunately it was sold out when I wanted a second one. Yes, I followed the directions by soaking them in hot water and washing the window. Push and turn. My poor cats are losing faith in them. They are used less and less and they are the only perches you can see from the window.
