Okay, I get that most of you have probably been using clips for ages and days, but I learned to sew the old school, with pins, and I only sew from time to time Time so I don't follow the latest gadgets and trends. However, when COVID-19 broke out, I jumped at the opportunity to make masks for our local pharmacy and nursing home and I started watching videos on how to make them and seeing clips for the first time. Would you believe I continued to use pins after that? I made them until the Great Stretch Shortage case hit, and then I had to figure out how to make cloth ties. When I tried to make my own bias binding, I found I wasted too much time messing around with bobby pins. Finally, I decided to try some long-forgotten hair clips for little girls who happened to be languishing in the bathroom drawer. They worked so well that I finally decided it's probably worth shelling out a few bucks to get clips made specifically for sewing. These beauties work great. They are much quicker and easier than pins! I haven't broken any of them yet. To top it off, they come in a sturdy little storage box. The only problem I have is that our cat wants to play with it, but it's not the manufacturer's fault that even the cat likes it. I highly recommend these brackets. !
