Unfortunately, my cable did not fit. This does not activate the external audio input option in the MMI. I've tried multiple times and many different things with no change. It was inactive because the MMI never recognized that it was connected. The attached image shows what the AUX (external audio input) input should look like when it detects that a cable has been connected. This cable was returned for another brand that has been running for over a year. It should work and is compatible with a 2011 Audi A4 Avant, just received a defective item. EDIT: The seller apologized for the defective cable and offered a free replacement for my issues even after I returned the item. I have already replaced it with another brand that worked.
