It's not a tick. suitable for sauna

DEC. UPDATE 2020: I am updating this review and downgrading it to 1 star after major ethical issues with the company. They contacted me about this review, not to fix an issue with misadvertising this teak, but to offer to pay me with a $10 Revain gift card if I delete this review (which I later told Revain have reported). I was disappointed with the false advertising and that it wasn't a real tick but not surprised either given the price. I liked the design so much that I even bought a replacement for the broken one after trying the bamboo model which got moldy every week. If you want a cheap, low-quality wooden waterfall soap dish, that's fine. Just be aware that it is easy to break and has none of the advantages of teak. But personally, I will never again deal with a company that is so unethical that they try to bribe people into leaving honest reviews. While I like the overall design of these soap dishes, they are absolutely not 100% teak. written in the product description. Teak and its density are very familiar to me. It's very easy. He is porous. And when the cat knocked the plate over (about 3 feet), a large chunk broke off immediately. Teak is dense, heavy for its size, not as porous as most woods, very durable and also has a high oil content that protects it from water attack. This is not the case and the dry porosity was particularly noticeable in the open area after one of them broke. If you're looking for authentic teak soap dishes because they stand up well to moisture in the bathroom, then this isn't it.
