Gifted to me on December 26, 2022, I returned the item to the store the next day. The hum is what made the video card unusable. The throttles were making a whistling sound, but I only have a rumbling sound. When the workload is above typical, the problem becomes obvious. My system unit is soundproof, and I've tested it in both simulations and games, but it hasn't solved the issue. It's unacceptable that, after shelling out $64,000, I should be confined to an enclosed environment while playing. Requested action from the SC: an identical replacement or a full refund. Thankfully, the shop no longer offers such a card, as I had no intention of using it. Asus, it's been two years since the initial batches featuring this marriage, and the issue still hasn't been resolved. This, of course, taints general perceptions of the items and the organization. Since this happened, I have second thoughts about purchasing any monitor from the ROG series out of fear of having to deal with issues that the company doesn't seem to care about fixing. I plan on waiting till spring, when they are expected to unveil a new generation, and then purchasing one from MSI.
