If there was a 10 star rating this would be my choice. You may have to make them yourself for a specific need, but they can't all be for everyone. Different users have different needs and the developer of this product needed to have an entry point to bring it to market. Updated to add 2020-02-02: and then it came to me. has some tips on his website to demonstrate how easy it is to add a little height/vertical clearance under the jaws. The ideal method to easily add/reduce height is to use a spare/replacement StickVise jaw set as a spacer. I ordered a set of replacement high temperature (PTFE) sponges so I have the original StickVise sponges on hand. Placing the original jaws under the high temperature jaws doubles the height of the jaws. Just right for me. You can just use washers or hex spacers and it will get the job done. A second set of StickVise sponges makes it a very polished professional tool. Go StickVise!
