This is one of the best things I've ever bought for myself. It's so soft and fluffy that you can't tell it has wires unless you're looking for it. And it's getting warm! I know it's supposed to be, but for someone like me who hasn't had an electric blanket, it's amazing how cozy and warm you can be. It was used last winter and then stored as a regular blanket all summer. Plugged it back in and it still works great. Note that it is much safer to wrap yourself in 12V DC cord than 120V AC. You cannot be electrocuted and entangled in a large 60 Hz electric field. No, I'm not worried about living near substations or large power lines, but wrapping yourself tightly in AC power cords is probably a very bad idea.
